So good to see our baby!!!
Finally we've been able to see our little Mya Bug. Visually she looks great... a sight for Mommy & Daddy's sore eyes right now. I'm surprisingly not as bothered by her incision as I expected (even though it's still covered). The cool part is that she's got the gross tubes out of her neck from the ECMO machine. Now she just needs to get thru the next 36-48 hours without any problems, and we'll have a better chance of being done with the sedation and getting the breathing tube out. This is all standard protocall for this situation. However, due to her 2nd heart failure, they're keeping her sedated longer than they would usually to make sure she is totally stabilized before she wakes up to have to deal with the pain. They're planning for sure over night, possibly thru the next couple of days.

So good to see you with her there! Hope you can rest tonight, and that the medical staff feels confident in her recovery steps!

Slowly but surely, she makes the strides necessary. Glad to hear that she is doing everything she can. Quite the little fighter.

This is Brittany's sister Julie. Our church here in Texas has been praying for Mya the last few days. I'm glad to see the surgery was successful today. We'll keep praying that she won't have any further problems. She's such a sweet looking little girl!

Robert - I just heard about Mya yesterday from Glenna's message. Your situation puts life in a totally different perspective. I trust God is over you and your family - your family is being prayed for by the prayer team at our church and it has already spread to many prayer chains. Bless Julie for keeping the blog - people who don't know you are asking how all of you are doing. May the lord bless you and keep you strong and that Mya recovers quickly.
