Deception Pass

One of our favorite places to go is Deception Pass and so we took a little road trip up last weekend.  The biggest reason is that Mya hasn't ever been on a ferry, but we see them regularly on our trips to the beach.  She asks about them a lot, so we decided to make a day adventure of the boat trip.  We had a great day together!  Always fun to be outside!

I Love Bugs!

Mya got a very cool gift for her birthday that we've finally taken the time to do!  Many thanks to Aunt Ang & family for "Lady Bug Land."  I finally got around to ordering the bugs, and they showed up today.  Tonight we put them in their new home to watch them change from the larva to pupa to adult stages.  Miss Mya was very excited for the process!  We'll update you when more "action" happens!

One of these things is not like the other...
Our little Kylie is such a sweet baby.  She is a super sleeper and eater... couldn't ask for much more from a 3 week old  little peanut!  A lot of people are asking us who she looks most like... you tell us your votes!

September Already?
We had a great time visiting the beach and playing in the sand over our Labor Day weekend.  It's been so much fun to have our family time together!

Mya got to go to her first dance class yesterday, I'm not sure if I was more excited for her to go than she was, but it was a total hit!  She really liked her teacher, Ms Missy- and is ready to go back next week!  She's so grown up!
Ready for dance class... tap and ballet shoes in the backpack!

Lining up for dance class!

Harvest on the PalouseSince Mya has been alive, she's never been able to make it to Grandma & Grandpa's house for harvest. The first year, she was just born, 2nd year had open heart surgeries, last year timing wouldn't allow for a trip across the state. But this year, the late harvest worked perfectly for us! Harvest was one of my favorite times growing up, being able to play in (and eat) the wheat and to ride in the combine and trucks with my parents. Needless to say, I've been wanting Mya to get the chance to enjoy the season as well! Luckily our maternity leave has allowed us time for a family road trip, and today was packed full of farm time for our little squirt. Grandpa was very accommodating- keeping a partial truck of wheat to play in, and some combine and truck riding time. She's passed out now, had a ball playing with cousins, and enjoying the heat of the last few days of summer! This is Kylie's first road trip as well, she's been meeting new family members and friends, along with a newborn photo shoot- more to come! :)
