Just Fence Me In!
We put all the slats on our fence today- it turned out great! We just need to shave the tops off, but we're really close to having a complete back yard! I've included a "before" picture from last July when we moved in... Rob's been busy!
Finishing Touches We've finally marked most everything off our "to-do" list, but somehow we still don't really feel prepared for what is ahead! Are you ever ready? Baby's room is ready for her arrival, we've enjoyed several trips to the baby sections of stores to figure out what this little one will need. Many thanks to everyone who gave us so many wonderful things to add to her sweet little room! We still have some wall decorations to add, but it would give her name away, so we have to wait for her to join our family before putting it up!

June Showers
This June has been the coldest on record, luckily we've benefited from several showers of gifts despite our cold, rainy weather. We've been incredibly blessed with so many wonderful things from friends, co-workers and family. Our close friends, Andrea & Kim hosted a shower for our west side family and friends. It was so nice to catch up with several people who I've not seen in awhile. Meanwhile, the boys were at home putting in our patio! Rob, Bob, Bryan and our neighbor, Randy, pulled together our lovely patio- check it out! Earlier this week I was also given a shower at work, Peggy my co-worker pulled it together and did a great job. They gave us an awesome stroller and many other gifts. I'm anxious to start running again when I can, and baby can now join me for some time outside in our cool Bob stroller! I've included a picture of our work team at a Mariner's game recently- they're so great! So, Baby's closet is officially ready for her to arrive- with lots of pink! We're still working on the finishing touches of her bedroom, more updates to come! She seems to be growing just fine, she's really active and is probably about 5lbs at this point. Only 5 more weeks (unless she's like her father, and then it'll be completely on her own time :) until we get to meet our little angel!

Happy Memorial Day! We had a great 3-day weekend of spending time with friends and working on a few home improvement projects. Only 8 more weeks until Baby arrives, so we're busily getting our home ready for her. We planted an herb and tomato garden in our back yard (Thanks Mark for the tomato plants!), Rob began our patio venture by digging out a lot of rocky dirt, we've been painting (our bathroom) and I've enjoyed decorating Baby's room. We've also been really blessed with a couple of baby showers, and have two more to go! My two wonderful sisters organized one in Spokane over Mother's Day Weekend. Co-workers from my van-pool also put one together for us. We are so thankful for the many sweet little gifts for our new family!

Growing...

Baby & I are both growing a lot right now! She is currently 2.8lbs and I'm a lot more! We had the opportunity to have a 3-D ultra sound this week, and got to get an idea of what she looks like in there. Rob claims she has his nose. All is well for us, we're working on lots of home projects to be ready for Baby's arrival. Between yard work, scrapbooking and painting we've been pretty busy. We'd appreciate prayers for continued growth and health!

Spring Training 2008
We just returned from a four day get-away to Arizona to watch a lot of Seattle Mariner baseball. We had a great time, my parents joined us- the sun was so refreshing! We got the inside look by touring the training facility- Rob got a couple autographs, the photo below is with short stop, Matt Tuiasosopo. It was a great breakaway from work and our normal schedules to spend time at the ball park. Rob is looking forward to Opening Day in Seattle on March 31st. Go Mariners!

Happy New Year!
We've been enjoying winter life- with no snow! There is A LOT of it very close by, but we're happy to live in our warmer costal zone! Rob started out the year on a cold note, he ran a 5K, the "Resolution Run" which required him to jump into Lake Washington on New Year's Day. Other brave friends joined him, I decided to sleep in for this one! Additionally, he was recently able to hook up with two college roommates, always fun to catch up with old friends. He also had the opportunity to meet Matt Hasselbeck and 2 other Seahawks at a CD release party. Obviously he's left me behind on a few of his adventures this year!
If we've not been able to tell you, our big news is that we're expecting our first little one in late July. Things are going well with that so far, and we will probably get to find out the genter within the next 1.5-3.5 weeks (if baby will let us!). Please pray for a safe pregnancy for us!

Christmas Cheer! We've been enjoying this Christmas Season with many of our friends & family. Rob's favorite gift yet was to attend today's Seahawks game with his boss. Lucikly they pulled out the win- hopefully something they're able to continue! Also this week we hosted our annual fondue party (a smaller crowd this time). Carter enjoyed the chocolate fondue much more than the cheese... you'll see how much below! We also went to dinner at Rob's brother's house this week, a great time spent with family. We've had a packed calendar (as usual), but it's all been such fun! We're hosting Rob's family on Christmas Day and my family the weekend following, more photos to come!
