Harvest on the PalouseSince Mya has been alive, she's never been able to make it to Grandma & Grandpa's house for harvest. The first year, she was just born, 2nd year had open heart surgeries, last year timing wouldn't allow for a trip across the state. But this year, the late harvest worked perfectly for us! Harvest was one of my favorite times growing up, being able to play in (and eat) the wheat and to ride in the combine and trucks with my parents. Needless to say, I've been wanting Mya to get the chance to enjoy the season as well! Luckily our maternity leave has allowed us time for a family road trip, and today was packed full of farm time for our little squirt. Grandpa was very accommodating- keeping a partial truck of wheat to play in, and some combine and truck riding time. She's passed out now, had a ball playing with cousins, and enjoying the heat of the last few days of summer! This is Kylie's first road trip as well, she's been meeting new family members and friends, along with a newborn photo shoot- more to come! :)

Oh my goodness how fun! That would be heaven for Judah & Jocelyn too! You are a brave mommy to head out so early on a road trip after surgery! What fun memories!
