Daddy went to New Orleans and all I got was this t-shirt!
Rob traveled to New Orleans for work, but was able to take in a few of the sites during his non-working hours. He really enjoyed his time, I wish I could have joined him! The live music was great, and a lot of the cajun style food was pretty good (that means great in my book!!!). Here are a few photos from his adventure. He really missed his little girl though, she received a cool t-shirt from the House of Blues. He was pretty happy to see her when he got home.
In the mean time, Mya & I traveled to Idaho to visit family. Mya got to meet several more family members and friends, we had a nice relaxing trip. She got to enjoy more time with cousins, boy do they like her too!

Sleeping Baby What a blessing it is to be on infant time right now! We are enjoying life a little slower paced, learning new things about Mya every day. The big events include feeding and bathing her... we're trying to relish this time, not allowing it to pass us by too quickly. However, I couldn't have been happier than a 3 hour nap the other day- we both got to sleep that time, what a need it was for both of us! We had a great time visiting family last week (more pictures to come), she's been a real trooper with running errands- I'm sure it won't last long!

Bright Eyes Mya has been a great little baby, now 2 weeks old. She's eating and sleeping like a champ- we're just hoping it continues! She's gained 11oz since birth- a real blessing with her heart murmor, she needs to keep packing on the ounces! We've had visitors every day since she's joined us in the world, it's been great for her to meet so many of our wonderful friends. Daddy had to go back to work this week, but we've made it on our own. We sure missed having him around to help! We're planning our first road trip next week- we'll see how much she enjoys car time!

Cousins Mya got to meet her three cousins yesterday. They were all very excited to hold little Mya, it was pretty sweet. Little Grant was even very gentle with her. They came to our house and made us dinner- it was great! They brought some gifts too, it was fun to see them. Grant is not exactly a Dawg fan- but Uncle Rob was pretty quick to take a picture of him with the sign below. Everyone told him to say, "Go Cougs" just to solidify his allegiance. We have a prayer request for our little one. We went to Childrens' Hospital yesterday for a test, and Mya has a heart murmor. She may be able to grow out of it, but we would love your prayers that it wouldn't cause her any problems. She just needs to continue to gain weight and grow, so we're focusing on making sure she gets as much feeding time as possible.

Mya Elizabeth's Arrival We have been blessed by the arrival of our beautiful Angel, Mya Elizabeth, on August 2nd at 4:34 am. She is 20.5" and weighs 7 lbs 8 oz. We are happy to finally be home from the hospital, where we're enjoying our family time and getting to know eachother! Mya has already met both sets of Grandparents, Uncle Steve & Aunt Michelle, and several friends. It's so fun to show her off! We were sorry she missed meeting Uncle Mark & Aunt Brittany,as they're out of the country until next May, so Mya has added a little message below. We were welcomed home with home made bread, food in the fridge and a welcome home sign on our house- thank you Grandma! Our wonderful friends from church have coordinated meals for us for the next two weeks- we are so thankful for the many blessings!!! We had our first night at home last night (without the help of the nursing staff at the Hospital) and we did okay, hoping to learn which cry means what soon! Mya is very mellow and she has been feeding really well, she's a very good baby. We appreciate your continued prayers for her health and look forward to introducing her to you soon!
